Manchester High School for Girls is a leading independent day school aiming to help empower girls to achieve academic potential and be ambitious to take on the world.

Exam Results and University Destinations

In 2021, at GSCE, 47.2% of the grades achieved were 9, 77% were 9-8 and 94.4% were 9-7. At A Level, 55.1% of the grades achieved were A*, 94.2% were A*-A, 99.3% were A*-B, and 100% were A*-C.

Most leavers successfully go on to study at highly selective higher education institutions in the UK and overseas. Some popular destinations include Oxbridge, Edinburgh, Imperial College London, and Warwick.

Extra-Curricular Activities

MHSG offers a wide variety of activities catering for all ages and interests, from cookery to debating, Bollywood dancing to gardening. Sport is also a vital part that there are traditional sports such as hockey, netball and athletics, and other activities such as rock climbing, taekwondo and track cycling.

Facilities

There are a diverse range of modern facilities including a state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre, sports complex, fitness suite, dance studio and purpose-built Music House. There are also well-stocked libraries containing various types of publications for different age groups.
