Who Are Our Host Families?

Our British host families are selected following a robust recruitment process, ensuring only the best for our students. All of our families are vetted thoroughly and have undergone a home assessment and interview, as well as DBS police checks and references for the whole household.

Our host families come from a wide range of cultures, employment backgrounds and locations. Their homes vary from traditional to contemporary and always meets our standard of excellence.

Host families provide a room with:

What Do They Do?

Our host families provide students with both short and long term accommodation, accommodating students who have purchased our guardianship package. For younger students, the host family will provide full board during weekend breaks, half-term and other holiday periods and half board when the student is not present during the day. Older students have the option of both “bed and breakfast” and half board.

Our host families are vetted and inspected to meet strict guidelines, including, but not limited to:

The Role of Host Family

Host family accommodation is becoming popular and widely sought after by overseas students. Every year, we place hundreds of students into host family accommodation.

The role of a host family is to:

  • Provide your child with suitable accommodation inclusive of meals during exeat weekends, half term and school holidays, when required

  • Integrate your child into the family and involve them in familial activities

  • Attend necessary school functions (e.g. parent’s evening)

  • Collect your child from their school or a location confirmed by us, your child and their school

  • Teach your child about British culture and customs

Benefits Of Homestay

Staying with a British host family provides new visitors to the UK with an excellent opportunity to be fully immersed in an English speaking environment, as well as experience of British lifestyle and culture. This allows your child to enrich their understanding, learn local expressions and develop the confidence to speak with greater ease and a more authentic accent.

Relationships formed during a stay with a host family can last a lifetime. Your child will have the support they need to ensure they adjust to the UK, become familiar with local people and integrate into the local community.
