【This year’s GCSE and A-Level have been cancelled】

A lockdown was reimposed by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday. He at the same time recognised that GCSE and A-Level exams may not be possible to go ahead this summer as normal.

Cabinet Office today confirmed that the 2 exams have been cancelled this year.

Education Secretary would make a statement on Wednesday after having a discussion with Ofqual for an alternative approach to allow students to progress fairly.

This is not applied to exams not regulated by Ofqual (ie IGCSEs or IB).

This statement may cause anxiety and distress. Stay calm and healthy! We will share with you the latest exam information.
