Hong Kong government announced that, people arriving Hong Kong from overseas will be required to stay at a designated quarantine hotel for 3 days, and to undergo medical surveillance for the next 4 days, starting from this Friday (August 12). The latest boarding and quarantine requirements are:


Before you board:

  • Fulfill the vaccination requirement
  • Complete the online Health & Quarantine Information Declaration
  • Provide the reservation proof of a designated quarantine hotel


People who have fulfilled the above requirements will get a green QR code to board, and when you arrive at Hong Kong:

  • Stay at a designated quarantine hotel for 3 days, and undergo medical surveillance for the next 4 days
  • Undergo daily rapid antigen tests until the tenth day of arrival
  • Undergo PCR test on the day of arrival, as well as on the second, fourth, sixth and ninth days of arrival
  • During the medical surveillance, a yellow code will be given in the Vaccine Pass of ‘LeaveHomeSafe’ mobile application. People with this code are allowed to take public transport, go to work, and enter shopping malls, department stores and other premises. However, they are restricted from premises that proactively check the Vaccine Pass, such as restaurants, bars and fitness centres
