About the School
Concord College is a highly academic international school, aiming to help students to achieve the highest standards and gain entry to top universities in the UK. They are composed of a majority of overseas students that students can join a vibrant and varied community here with a global perspective and an atmosphere of mutual respect.
There are 17 boarding residences and each residence is single sex. All second year A Level students are guaranteed a single en-suite study bedroom, if that is their wish. Also, Lower School residences have full time Boarding Assistants to give a greater level of care.
Exam Results and University Destinations
In 2020, at GCSE, 52% of the grades were 9 (or equivalent) and 88% were 9-7 (A*/A equivalent). At A Level, 44.5% of the grades were A*, 85.2% were A*/A, 97% were A*/B and 100% were A*/C.
In 2020, 78% of sixth form leavers gained an offer from UK Top 10 universities including 2 students going to Oxford, 13 going to Cambridge and 12 going to Imperial.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Although being a very academic school, extra-curricular activities is also an essential part of the school life. A wide range of enrichment activities are offered including musical activities such as the orchestra and samba drums band, sporting activities such as archery and horse-riding, and also debates, cooking, foreign languages. Students can also choose to participate in The Duke of Edinburgh Award to challenge themselves.
Facilities
The Performing Arts Centre has a large theatre for drama workshops, live performances. There are also music practice rooms, an orchestra room and music technology suite.
The ‘West End’ is a student social area, which includes an amphitheatre, disco, internet café, snack shop, table football and television.
