About the School
Oxford High School is an independent day school which is the oldest girls’ school in Oxford and a member of the GDST. OHS students are also twice as likely to receive a Cambridge offer as students from other UK leading girls’ schools, as suggested by UCAS statistics.
With the strong links to Oxford University and the Oxford University Hospitals, OHS is also able to host visiting speakers from across the entire academic spectrum, and for students to extend their knowledge beyond the curriculum.

Exam Results and University Destinations
In 2021, at GCSE, 47% of the grades were 9-8, 78% were 9-7 and 100% were 9-4. At A-Level, 63% of the grades were A*, 86% were A*-A and 100% were A*-C.
Since 2011, 1 in 5 university applicants have received offers from Oxford and Cambridge with a further 90% of students receiving offers from top Russell Group universities. In 2021, 9 leavers successfully went on to Oxbridge.
Extra-Curricular Activities
OHS has strong performance not only in core sports such as hockey and netball, but also in football, swimming, tennis, squash and ice skating.
To experience Oxford’s cultural life, students are also offered opportunities to visit Oxford’s world-renowned museums, galleries or theatres, or taking a single class to a local chapel or churchyard to practise creative writing.
Facilities
Sports facilities in OHS include a 25 metre, six-lane indoor swimming pool, a large sports hall, four outdoor netball and tennis courts, extensive fields that include 3 football pitches in the winter and a 400m athletics track plus two cricket pitches in the summer.
