About the School

St Helen and St Katharine is an independent day school which is one of the leading girls’ schools in the UK. SHSK adopts flipped classroom teaching that lessons are based around dialogue and debate, with preparation and reading being done outside the classroom. This encourages students to express their views and gain the confidence to form their own opinions.

In Sixth Form, students are taught in engaging small groups. They also join up with Abingdon School, a leading boys’ school nearby, for some A-level subjects and extracurricular opportunities, creating an enriching co-educational experience.
