About the School

Radley College provides an education that is about independent thought and learning with enthusiasm and ambition. It is also about cultural awareness and preparation for the world. Above all, a Radley education is for life.

Radley creates a single-sex full-boarding environment and the term Social is used to call the boarding houses. There are 11 Socials and all have a broad mix of boys of different abilities and interests.

Exam Results and University Destinations

In 2020, at GCSE, 86.9% of grades awarded were 9-7 and 99.9% were 9-4. At A Level, 67% of grades awarded were A*-A and 93.9% were A*-B.

In 2020, 4 sixth form leavers successfully went to University of Oxford. Also, over the past 5 years, many of the boys have gained an offer from top universities overseas including Yale University in USA and McGill University in Canada.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Music plays a significant part in the life at Radley. Apart from going to the chapel on a daily basis, students can also participate in a wide range of public concerts, informal workshops and competitions. Almost half the boys at the school also have singing or instrumental lessons.

Other activities available include sports, drama, CCF, Duke of Edinburgh Award and a lot more.

Facilities

The Sports Centre houses excellent facilities including a 25-metre swimming pool with adjoining 3.5 metre diving pit, fitness suite, all weather pitches, an 8 lane athletics track and a rowing tank.

For music facilities, there is a purpose-built concert hall, a theatre, an extensive suite of teaching and practice rooms along with a Music Technology facility and recording studio.
